Support
Write to support@farspeaklabs.com. Say which app and version you're using (it's in the app's menu, under About) and which version of macOS, and what happened. A screenshot helps.
Keys and refunds
- Bought from shutterkit.app: your license key is in your purchase email and your customer portal. Lost your key? Refunds are explained on the refunds page.
- Bought on the Mac App Store: there's no key; the app is tied to your Apple Account. Apple handles App Store refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Shutterkit Cull
Where do my ratings go?
They stay in Cull while you work, so browsing never changes your card or folder. Hand Off writes them into XMP sidecar files next to your RAW files, which Lightroom Classic and Capture One read when you import the folder (or choose Read Metadata from Files).
Lightroom doesn't show my picks and rejects.
Lightroom doesn't read pick or reject flags from files. Cull also writes them as the keywords "Cull Pick" and "Cull Reject", and the Shutterkit Cull plug-in for Lightroom Classic (beta) can turn those into real flags.
Hand Off says the card can't be written to.
The card is locked or read-only. Copy your picks to another drive, and the ratings go beside the copies, or choose a folder for the sidecar files.
How does Ask an AI work?
It's optional and uses your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or xAI, kept in your Mac's Keychain. When you ask, Cull sends small previews (about 768 pixels wide) of the photos you chose straight to that company; your originals stay on your Mac. The company bills your account for what you use.
